What element is this?

The periodic table is the chemist's roadmap to the elements! You will refer to this table often to find atomic masses and other properties. As we progress through the semester other chemical mysteries will be revealed. Become familiar with the layout and information available from the periodic table by answering these questions.

The atomic number listed on the periodic table gives you infomation about each atom's protons and electrons. If you know the mass number of an element the number of neutrons can also be determined. Use this quiz to practice using atomic numbers.
